The best official Mercedes-Benz GLE offers found on AutoTrader advertised in 2021.

Mercedes-Benz offers a variety of crossover and SUV models, however, easily one of the more desirable models is the GLE. Below we have compiled a list of the best official offers found on AutoTrader advertised in 2021.

Buying a Car

The GLE nameplate first made its appearance in 2015 after Mercedes-Benz made the decision to introduce new naming conventions. Traditionally this model was adorned with an ML moniker, however, now customers can easily distinguish between the different core class models and whether or not the vehicle is suited for off-road conditions.

When you break down the naming of the Mercedes-Benz naming conventions, all models now featuring GL are aimed at off-road conditions. The next letter refers to the core class models, A meaning that the model is based on the A-Class platform and E meaning that it falls in the E-Class range in terms of technology, comfort and size.

At the time of writing this article, Mercedes-Benz offers the GLE in seven derivatives, two body styles, and three powertrain configurations. We have categorized the offers below into the different powertrain trims and body styles.

Mercedes-Benz GLE300d 4Matic

The Mercedes-Benz GLE300d 4Matic serves as the entry point to the GLE range. Installed with a 2.0-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder diesel motor developing 180 kW and 500 Nm of torque, the variant offers ample power for that occasional off-road excursion. The engine is mated to a smooth 9-speed automatic transmission sending power to all four wheels.

Even in base form, the GLE300d comes with a variety of creature comforts and a compliant ride quality. Customers can opt for either the base trim or the AMG Line derivative which sees more aggressive styling cues and larger wheels fitted to the exterior amongst other things. If that is not enough, there is a large options list to specify the model even further.

Mercedes-Benz GLE450 4Matic

If you are in the market for a petrol model, the GLE450 4Matic is the one you are looking for. This variant comes with a 3.0-litre, turbocharged, inline-6 petrol motor producing 286 kW in combination with the mild-hybrid system, and 500 Nm of torque. Like with the rest of the range, this model also comes equipped with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Similar to the GLE300d, this variant comes in both the standard trim specification as well as AMG Line. This is also the only petrol-powered derivative in the line-up.

Mercedes-Benz GLE400d 4Matic

The GLE400d 4Matic might appear similar in styling but under the bonnet features a 2.9-litre, turbocharged, inline-6 diesel motor. Coupled with the 9-speed automatic transmission, customers can expect 243 kW and a staggering 700 Nm of torque. Whether you opt for the standard specification or the AMG Line variant, this model will certainly impress on- and off-road.

Mercedes-Benz GLE400d coupe 4Matic

If the traditional SUV proportions aren't what you are looking for, Mercedes-Benz offers customers a stylish alternative. While the GLE400d coupe shares most of its components with its more utilitarian sibling, the exterior sees a dramatic revision in the roofline and rear of the vehicle where it presents as a more curved and smooth line, as you would get with coupe vehicles.

While this is certainly the more stylish option, this model does sacrifice a considerable amount of headroom at the rear of the vehicle, as well as total load volume, only offering up to 1 790-litre as opposed to the 2 055-litres in the regular GLE400d.
