Euro NCAP tested the GLC range in 2022. The vehicle scored a 5-star rating, with 92% for adult occupants, 90% for child occupants, 74% for vulnerable road users, and 84% for safety assists.
Optionally, if you add the Driver Assistance Package Plus, you can have DISTRONIC PLUS and PRE-SAFE system. DISTRONIC is an adaptive cruise control system, and PRE-SAFE is a collision safety system where the vehicle tightens the seat belts or closes the side windows. It also plays a tone to dampen the noise of the accident and protect your ears.
Is the GLC Coupé Safe?
Judging from the above safety equipment and Euro NCAP rating, we can confidently conclude that the GLC Coupé is a safe car. To achieve a stellar 5-star rating for Euro NCAP would require some stringent safety equipment, and the GLC Coupé delivers from this, it appears.
