Buying a Car

Early in 2022, the Chinese automaker Chery introduced the Tiggo 8 Pro model locally. Since then, a Tiggo 8 Pro Max flagship derivative has been added to the range, however, even the entry-point to the range offers a host of standard features that will impress most SUV buyers.

But perhaps you find yourself wondering if the model would make for a good family vehicle and in this article, we look at a few key areas that will qualify the model as such. If you need to sell your car for the deposit for a new Chery Tiggo 8 Pro, why not consider getting an Instant Offer before you set out to find a new or used Cherry Tiggo 8 Pro model on AutoTrader?

Space

While the elegant design might not give away that the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is a seven-seater, it is indeed true. And while the last row of seats might be a little cramped for taller individuals, there should be ample leg- and headroom for children and even shorter adults. The second row of seats is comfortable and provides ample leg- and headroom even for three taller individuals.

With all seven seats occupied, owners are left with 193 litres of luggage space, however, if the third row is folded flat, the boot expands to 892 litres. If all of the seats at the rear of the cabin are folded flat, owners get access to 1 930 litres of luggage space.

Safety

Standard across all variants of the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro is ABS brakes with Emergency Brake Assist and Electronic Brake Force Distribution, traction and stability control, hill-start assist and hill descent control as well as a tyre pressure monitoring system. On the inside of the cabin, customers can also expect six airbags to feature throughout the entire range, as well as ISOFIX anchor points on the outer rear seats.

One of the standard features across the range that really impresses is the rear park distance control. Not only does it offer a rear-view camera with dynamic guides but also a 360-degree parking view from cameras that are mounted on the nose of the car, rear and sides of the vehicle.

Verdict

The available space and standard safety features of a vehicle are usually the most critical areas for the discerning family vehicle customer. And while it is expected that the Tiggo 8 Pro model range would offer a lot of space considering its size, the level of standard safety equipment that features on even the entry-point derivative is quite impressive, to say the least.

It is because of this that we think that the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro in any of the three trim levels should make for a very good option for customers looking for a family vehicle.
