Is the BMW 3 Series good for families? Here’s our verdict.

The BMW 3 Series has all the makings of a family car such as driveability, practicality, efficiency and more.

If you're considering buying a BMW 3 Series and wondering if it's family friendly then you can rest assured because the F30 BMW 3 Series was the top performer in Euro NCAP’s large family car class in 2013. Safety can be questionable in some of the best cars but with a BMW sedan - you can have your cake and eat it too.

Looking at the 2013 model, the 3 Series can protect both you and your family better than any of its 2012 rivals. Moreover, the 3 Series is fitted with many safety features that include electronic stability control and seatbelt reminders.

The reliability on E90's are also fantastic and those models offer value for money.

Aside from its safety ratings, the BMW 3 Series is also magnificent to drive, it is practical and above all, it's stylish. The cars in the range all promise an impressive blend of performance and running costs.

You're getting one of the top infotainment systems in its segment with Bluetooth connectivity, rear parking sensors and climate control. 

Practicality

It has a spacious cabin and a 480-litre boot that has plenty of luggage space. Overall the 3 Series makes for a great all-rounder.
