The question of reliability is always a difficult one to answer as to how reliable a car is depends very much on the ownership cycle nowadays. There are very few vehicles sold today that are unreliable from the factory. The Jeep Renegade is one of these types of vehicles, the Renegade shares its platform with the Fiat 500X, 500L, and Fiat Toro, all vehicles from a brand that had notorious reliability issues in the past. As technology has improved and ideas and tech can be shared between brands under the Stellantis umbrella, the reliability has improved greatly.

Verdict
After due process one could say that as a standalone product the Renegade is reliable and solidly built, however, any vehicle is only as reliable as the person that owned it before and care should be taken to examine maintenance history and owner behavior before purchasing.
