Verdict
While some bakkie manufacturers ensure that only entry-level single cab derivatives can carry loads in excess of 1 ton, most of the Isuzu D-Max line-up can comfortably carry a ton. It is only when we get to the double cab variants that are more aimed towards lifestyle use that we see the maximum load capacity dip below 1 ton.
