It's both funky and functional, and the Citroen C4 Cactus is loved by the bold few that bought them in their brief tenure in South Africa. With radical styling in the form of AirBumps to protect the sides of the car and a visage that is reminiscent of the Jeep Cherokee, the Citroen C4 Cactus is a rather capable crossover with a lovely engine and enjoyable drive.
They were only sold for two years; the year it was introduced to South Africa, 2015, and one more year before Citroen withdrew from South Africa. Despite their well-documented departure in 2017, Citroën is back in South Africa as part of the revitalised Stellantis group that handles the likes of Peugeot, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Opel and Citroën.

The Cactus was available in entry-level Feel trim with either a 60kW 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol or an 81kW 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol engine, and the Shine trim, which only came with the 81kW engine.
