The Alfa Romeo Tonale forms part of the Italian automaker's SUV offensive and slots in just below the Stelvio model. Currently, the Tonale is available in three trim levels, namely, Ti, Speciale and Veloce. Under that bonnet features a 1.5-litre, turbocharged, petrol-electric hybrid engine sending 118 kW and 240 Nm of torque to the front wheels via a 7-speed, dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The Alfa Romeo Tonale range comes fitted with no less than six airbags. Front and side airbags for both the driver and front passenger and two curtain airbags that will help protect the front and rear occupants in a side impact. But this is not the only safety equipment incorporated into the stylish crossover.
Driver assistance systems include ABS brakes with emergency brake assist, traction and stability control and a tyre pressure monitoring system. Furthermore, the driver benefits from a lane departure warning system as well as lane-keeping assist. The latter forms part of the adaptive cruise control system.
To ensure you are attentive, there is a fatigue detection system for the driver. Owners can also expect front and rear park distance control sensors and a reverse camera. Last but not least, new families will be happy to note that the outer rear seats offer ISOFIX anchor points.
