The major control areas for the Tiggo 8 Pro are digitised and found on three separate screens. One being the infotainment, one to operate climate control and lastly, one being the instrument cluster. How do you connect your iPhone to the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro though?

We spoke to a Chery dealer about this. You can connect your iPhone via Bluetooth for calls and audio. However, if you want Apple CarPlay, you need to connect your iPhone via a USB-A to Lightning cable. It's strongly advised that you should use an original Apple cable to avoid issues or an approved good-quality aftermarket cable. There's only one USB-A port in the Tiggo 8 Pro that can operate Apple Car Play. You don't need a third party application or this vehicle.

Bluetooth Connection

Make sure the vehicle is stationary and Park has been engaged.
On the Infotainment screen home page, go to the Settings Icon.
Navigate to Bluetooth Connection and then you can follow the prompts on your device and infotainment to perform the connection

Apple CarPlay Connection

Make sure the car is stationary and in park.
Plug in the USB-A side of your original Apple cable to the car's USB-A port, which can be found in the centre console. Then plug the Lightning side into your device.
Once connected, on the car's infotainment screen home page, you can the Apple CarPlay icon and then follow the prompts on both your device and the infotainment.
