"However, it still performed like a little champ, and I constantly had to remind myself to lift my foot from the accelerator to prevent unnecessary speeding fines! The Aygo is so small and light, that its tiny engine doesn’t feel at all lethargic. Give it a sharp bend and it keeps its cool a lot better than most of its A-segment counterparts."

What is the Toyota Aygo like inside?
The Aygo has a no-mess, no-fuss interior with simple switchgear and a friendly, playful layout. A large, circular instrument binnacle rests in front of the driver with the multi-function display giving readouts for all the necessary information. There's generous use of hardwearing plastics, as is to be expected in an entry-level offering but it's all crafted with that renowned Toyota build quality and doesn't feel cheap in doing so.
Style
Short overhangs and a steeply raked bonnet make the Aygo look like a cabin on wheels. The X-design of the front end sees the lower airdam angle upwards while the wrap-around headlights taper off towards the back of the car, leading into a dark detail that extends through the windows and all the way to the back of the vehicle in a smooth, fluid line. The rear taillamps are large and vertical, aiding with visibility and giving the impression of additional height and stature.

Which is the cheapest Toyota Aygo?
The Toyota Aygo is no longer available new, having been replaced by the Agya, and as such you will only be able to find used examples on our site. Expect to pay between R180 000 and R160 000 for a clean, late, low-mileage example.
