Two or Four wheels?
Volvo has set the bar for luxury lifestyle SUVs with groundbreaking machines such as the XC90, XC60, and XC40. By trimming back the roofline of the XC40 the engineers at the Swedish automaker were able to bring a coupe-styled version to market called the C40. This stylish and compact fully electric crossover will easily service the needs of the urban family. With external dimensions measuring 4.44m in length, 2.3m in width, and a height of 1.59m, there is more than enough space for your needs.

But what of those that require a little more for their active lifestyles? Will they be able to get everything they need inside? Will picnic equipment, school sports gear, or even a bicycle fit? We find out!

Space for your bike
The C40 Recharge has a boot space of 489l, which can be expanded by removing the interior tonneau cover to 853l and further expanded to 1205l by dropping the 60:40 rear seat. Once you have the maximum space, you can remove the bicycle's front wheel and fit it inside. We, however, do not recommend this, as any misstep could damage the interior trimmings.
We highly recommend acquiring a rear or roof-mounted bike rack system like the ones available from Thule.
