The Opel Mokka was first introduced locally in 2015 and entered into the highly contested compact SUV market. All the derivatives in the range came fitted with a 1.4-litre, turbocharged, 4-cylinder petrol motor. Customers could either option the 6-speed manual gearbox or the 6-speed automatic transmission.
In 2016, an updated model arrived on the scene, named the Mokka X which saw enhancements made to both the exterior styling and the interior trim and tech. However, whether you own the model or is considering a used Opel Mokka model on AutoTrader, there are a few accessories that you could add to spruce up the vehicle.
1. OPC Line exterior pack
As any Opel enthusiasts will know, OPC is the performance wing of the German automaker. Not only do they enhance the performance on many Opel models but also bolster the exterior styling with a few design enhancements. This pack will provide you with a more aggressive front lower skirt, side sills and rear lower skirt. The new trim pieces will add a sporty style to your Mokka.
2. OPC Line roof spoiler
Available as an optional item is the OPC Line roof spoiler. The roof spoiler continues on the sporty styling kit mentioned above and is delivered in a primer finish so that you can match it perfectly with your Opel Mokka body colour. While it might not alter the driving characteristics all that much, it will leave a lasting impression on onlookers.
3. Fog lamps
Available as an aftersales accessory for the Opel Mokka is fog lamps. The kit includes two fog lamps, the wiring harness, interior switch as well as fog lamp bezels. While there is an easy-to-follow installation guide, we would recommend you surrender this job to your Opel technician as it does connect to the vehicle's electric system.
4. FlexFix bicycle carrier
For those adventurous and active types, Opel has teamed up with FlexFix to create a bicycle carrier. While created for optimal use of one bicycle, the system allows for the transport of a total of three bikes. The carrier easily attaches to the tow bar and even allows for tilting so that owners can still access the boot without removing the bicycles. However, owners should note that if you want to attach a trailer, you won't be able to use the bicycle carrier.
5. FlexConnect adapter
The FlexConnect adapter attaches to the headrests of the front seats and allows rear occupants to attach a variety of useful accessories. Once the adapter is in place, the rear occupants can choose to use one of the optional attachments such as the folding table, tablet holder and even coat hanger.
