What are the Honda Elevate's engine specifications?
The Elevate is powered by a 1.5-litre, naturally aspirated, four-cylinder engine which is mated to a 6-speed manuall or CVT (or continous variable transmission) gearbox. It is front-wheel-driven.
Both models' output is rated at 89 kW with 145 Nm of torque.
This is how much your car repayments will be on a Honda Elevate.
What is the Elevate's fuel consumption like?
Honda reckons 6.7 litres per 100 km in the manual and 6.1 litres per 100 km in the CVT with range of 597 and 656 km, respectively.
In my personal experience with the CVT gearbox, our trip computer showed an average combined consumption figure of 7 litres per 100 km.

How quick is the Honda Elevate?
"The reliable, naturally aspirated 1.5-litre engine (also available in other well-known Honda products like the Ballade) is of a free-revving nature, and energetic enough to overtake slower traffic as needed." Read my full review of the automatic Elevate here.
As for outright speed and acceleration, the Elevate's top speed is 160 km/h and its 0 - 100 km/h sprint time (in the CVT) is about 12 seconds, while the manual is around a second faster.

Is the Elevate a dynamic drive?
I wouldn't exactly call it sporty, but thanks to its surefootedness and excellent roadholding, it feels relatively dynamic - for a budget-minded crossover.
Should you buy a Honda Elevate?
I would - Hondas are known to be reliable! I'd look out for a lightly used model to save few rands. Look for pre-loved Elevate models on AutoTrader, here.
