Range Rover Sport TWENTY Edition announced

Two decades ago, the SUV, the Range Rover Sport, was born, and to celebrate twenty years of defying physics (and climbing 999 steps in China), the brand has revealed the TWENTY Edition.

While this limited-run special is currently a global showcase, it serves as a high-performance highlight reel of the model’s evolution from the "Stormer" concept to today’s product.

The Sanguinello Factor

The standout feature of the TWENTY Edition is its Sanguinello Orange ultra-metallic finish. a direct nod to the original Range Stormer concept and the Vesuvius Orange launch colours that defined the first two generations. For those who prefer to fly under the radar, Santorini Black and Ostuni White are also available.

Exterior & Interior Highlights

  • The Look: A Black Exterior Pack provides a stealthy contrast to the orange paint, while massive 23-inch Gloss Sparkle Silver (or optional Gloss Black) wheels fill the arches.

  • The Badging: You’ll find "TWENTY" etching on the exterior and illuminated treadplates, plus unique scripting on the centre console.

  • SV DNA: In a major win for the cabin, the TWENTY Edition borrows the Ebony Windsor performance seats from the flagship Range Rover Sport SV. These motorsport-inspired buckets are paired with forged carbon veneers and a black suedecloth headlining for a properly focused cockpit.

Two engine options

The TWENTY Edition carries the heavy hitters from the Range Rover engine stable:

  1. The V8: A 4.4-litre Twin Turbo V8 mild-hybrid producing 397 kW.

  2. The PHEV: The P550e Plug-in Electric Hybrid, combining a 3.0-litre straight-six with a 105 kW motor. It delivers a combined 405 kW and an  electric-only range of up to 115 km (WLTP).

The legacy

The TWENTY Edition arrives as a reminder of how much the "Sport" has achieved since the early 2000s:

  • 2013: Set a production SUV record at Pikes Peak.

  • 2014: Launched the SVR, the first vehicle from the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division.

  • 2018: Conquered the 45-degree incline of Heaven’s Gate in China.

  • 2023: Introduced the SV with revolutionary 6D Dynamics suspension.

Will it come to South Africa?

Here is the catch: Range Rover South Africa has noted that the TWENTY Edition is not yet confirmed for our market. However, given South Africa's appetite for high-performance Range Rovers and our status as a key market for "Special Vehicle" editions, local availability is likely.

For now, South African fans can continue to enjoy the current Range Rover Sport line-up, which remains the benchmark for sporting luxury on—and off—our roads.
