As one of the brand's most iconic models, the 911 is important for the Porsche brand and is, indeed, the only model that is set to retain internal combustion engines within the brand's line-up in the future. The model celebrates six decades of global sales, and Porsche has launched a limited-edition variant to commemorate the occasion!

60 years of 911!
The name "911 S/T" is a nod to the performance-focused version of the first 911 generation, known as the 911 ST, offered by Porsche since 1969. Porsche will be producing 1 963 units of the S/T, a 911 that combines features of the GT3 RS and the 911 GT3 Touring Package into one product. The S/T gets the 4.0-litre flat-six engine from the 911 GT3 RS, delivering 386 kW through a six-speed manual gearbox. Claimed performance figures include a top speed of 300km/h and a 0-100km/h time of 3.7 seconds.
Lightest 992!
Kerb weight is claimed at 1 380kg, making it the lightest model within the 992 911 range. The weight saving has come as a result of the use of Carbon-fibre-reinforced plastic (CFRP) on the bonnet, roof, front wings, and doors, resulting in a lean and nimble vehicle. Porsche has also equipped the anniversary model with magnesium wheels, a lithium-ion starter battery, lightweight glass, and the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system.
Optional pack
There is the option of a Heritage Design Package that is said to pay homage to the racing version of the 911 S from the late 60s and early 70s. Featuring bespoke exterior colours, special alloy wheels, and a classic Porsche crest. The interior is adorned with cloth seat centers in Classic Cognac with black pinstripes, semi-aniline leather trim, and a roof lining in perforated Dinamica.
A matching watch!
For watch enthusiasts, Porsche Design offers the exclusive Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T, a titanium watch said to resemble the magnesium wheel of the 911 S/T.
Pricing
The 911 S/T has a base price of R6 326 000.
