With its Australian engineering partner Premcar, Nissan has launched the Navara PRO-4X Warrior in South Africa.
Upgrades
The Warrior retains the same 2.5-litre turbodiesel engine, delivering 140kW/450Nm through a 4WD system via a 7-speed automatic gearbox. An upgraded suspension system features increased ride height, beefier springs, and recalibrated dampers for optimal wheel articulation and control.
There's now 232mm ground clearance, up from 221mm, along with increased front and rear track widths and LT 275/65/R17 MAXXIS RAZR all-terrain tyres. The rear suspension setup has been altered and is said to enhance load stability, ensuring secure cargo transit over uneven terrains.
Aesthetic changes
Apart from the higher stance, the Warrior features blacked-out accents like the front grille, door handles, wheels, and red details. Inside are Warrior-branded black seats with red contrast stitching, an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 7.0-inch driver assist display, and dual-zone climate control.
Safety Features
The Warrior comes with the brand's Intelligent Mobility suite, which includes forward collision warning, lane departure warning, blind spot monitoring, an intelligent around-view monitor with off-road mode, 7 airbags and Hill descent control.
