The LX is the brand's range-topping SUV, built on the concept of 'effortless and refined driving on any road around the world.'
The LX is now available in three grades: the Overtrail, the F Sport, and the newly introduced Urban.
Most Powerful LX Yet: The petrol-hybrid LX 700h, featuring a 3.5-litre V6 hybrid engine, delivers 341kW of total system power.
Diesel Option: For those preferring a diesel powertrain, the LX (available in F Sport and Overtrail) offers a 225kW diesel option. Both engines are paired with a seamless 10-speed automatic transmission.
New Hybrid entry point
The launch of the Urban grade follows the local debut 1MT-HEV hybrid powertrain, which replaced the outgoing LX 600 petrol model. Responding to the call for a more attainable hybrid flagship, Lexus has discontinued the high-end VIP grade to make way for the new Urban.
Expanded 2025 Line-Up: The new Urban grade now serves as the seven-seater option within the hybrid range, sitting alongside the existing LX 500d F Sport, LX 500d Overtrail, LX 700h F Sport, and LX 700h Overtrail models.
Urban vs. Overtrail
The LX 700h Urban is meticulously crafted for the city and daily luxury, while the Overtrail grade is built for off-road adventure. Key differences include:
| Feature | LX 700h Urban | LX 700h Overtrail |
| Wheels | Striking 22-inch alloys (265/50 R22 tyres) | 18-inch wheels (Optimised for off-road) |
| Differentials | Centre differential lock | Centre, front, and rear locking differentials |
| Exterior Trim | Chrome and stainless finishes | Blacked-out elements |
| Interior Trim | Shimamoku wood accents | Black Ash accents |
Powertrain and capability
The LX 700h Urban retains the strong hybrid performance of the latest generation. Its 3.5-litre V6 twin-turbo hybrid system delivers a combined 341kW and maintains the expected full-size SUV capability:
Towing Capacity: A robust braked towing capacity of 3 500kg (750kg unbraked).
Hybrid Power Breakdown: The petrol engine produces 305kW and 650Nm, with the electric motor contributing an additional 36kW and 250Nm.

The new LX 700h Urban provides exceptional value at its price point, offering a compelling alternative within the premium SUV market.
