If you own a Land Cruiser 70 Series, you don't spend your time in gridlock traffic in the city centre. You chose the 70 Series because you need a rough and tumble, dependable 4x4 that keeps on going in the rough and rugged outdoors. Whether you use your Land Cruiser 79 on the farm or in the bush, you probably spend most of your time on dirt and gravel roads, kicking up a dust storm wherever you go.

Keeping your windscreen clean and clear is important in these dusty conditions so make sure your windscreen washer fluid is topped up. This will allow you to clear your windscreen without having to stop. Here's how you can top up your washer fluid in only a few easy steps.

Step-by-step:

1. Locate the bonnet release catch under the bonnet and pull to open the bonnet.

2. With the bonnet open, locate the windscreen washer fluid bottle – on the Toyota Land Cruiser 79, it's behind the passenger-side headlight, next to the battery.

3. Pop open the reservoir cap and check the fluid level. Should none be visible, you will need to add fluid.

4. Fill the reservoir with a combination of windscreen washer fluid and clean water. Check your washer fluid for the dilution ratio.

5. Add fluid until the mark on the dip stick is reached.

6. Replace the reservoir cap, ensuring that it is closed correctly.

7. Test the system to ensure that all works as it should.
