The wiper blades on your car are not very often thought about, but are indeed an absolutely critical part of your car’s safe operation. We take you through a step-by-step guide on how to quickly and easily replace yours in a matter of minutes.

Replacing the wiper blades on your car is a fairly simple task, that you can do right at home. With just the replacement wipers and a few minutes, you can change out the old ones for a shiny new set, that should keep your vision clean and clear for the next rainy season.

1. To get started, you will need to remove the old wiper blades. This is done by gently pushing the wiper blade down towards the windscreen, once you have lifted the wiper arms away from the windscreen. The small plastic clip should just unclip without any force.

2. Gently pull the plastic clip and wiper blade out of the bent section of the wiper arm, and slide it out to release the old wiper blade.

3. Check to make sure that your replacement wiper blades are the correct length (the same length as the old ones), and remove them from the package. The package will contain a few different mounting clips to fit different wiper arm configurations, but for the most part, the one fitted to the new wiper blade should fit as standard.

4. Gently slide the new wiper blade into the bent section of the wiper arm

5. Clip it into place by pushing away from the windscreen. No force is required to do this, and it should just click into place.

In order to prolong the life of your wiper blades, you should avoid using them dry, try as much as possible to ensure the windscreen is wet when they are running. Try to also avoid using them in very dusty conditions, or with mud on the windscreen.
