Shine some light

You can save yourself some time and money by tackling small tasks like changing a light bulb right at home. The T5 model Caravelle still makes use of H9 style headlight bulbs and these can be changed in a matter of minutes with just a few tools.

Space may be at a premium up front butby removing a panel or two you can access the headlight assemblies with ease.

Here's how it's done.

 

You will need:

  • Replacement bulbs
  • No.3 Phillips screwdriver
  • Soft cloth

 

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet

 

2. Use the screwdriver to remove the plastic screws that hold the slam tray down. Remove tray

 

3. Locate the back of the headlight cluster in the engine bay and remove the small black cover 

 

4. Remove the connector plug from the bulb.

 

5. Depress the locating clip to remove bulb

 

6. Replace the bulb 

 

7. Assemble in reverse order
