What’s it like to drive?

Reviewer's opinion

Driving the JCW Countryman on the wet tarmac on the way back was exceedingly enjoyable. Its strength lies in its power, hatch-like driving characteristics, spaciousness and tremendously handsome looks - plus, that All4 system makes you feel very confident when you tackle the turns. Drive it in manual mode and you’ll be delighted by some more cheerful chortling from the dual exhaust pipes.

What is the Mini Cooper Countryman like inside?

Fun and youthful yet upmarket and ergonomic - such is the interior of the Countryman range.

I've always been a fan of the Countryman's cabin layout and quality - it's cheerful and vibrant.

Tech and spec features

In terms of the interior of the three models, again, expect the Cooper, Cooper S and JCW to be broadly similar, featuring a 5.0-inch colour screen digitised instrument cluster, a sports leather steering wheel, and an 8.8-inch Connected Media infotainment system. The Cooper model comes standard with combination cloth/artificial leather seats while the Cooper S gets leather items. The JCW model distinguishes itself with Dinamica/leather combination sports seats as standard along with various ‘John Cooper Works’ badges throughout its cabin. - Sean Nurse, AutoTrader.
