Latest Information on Toyota Corona
The Toyota Corona was a long serving model and was produced between 1957 and 2003. Corona is Latin for “crown”. The model went through eleven design generations. At the time it slotted under the Crown model in Toyota’s product line-up. It had roughly similar production costs as the Corolla. The very first models were powered by a old sidevalve "S" engine which produced a mere 24 kW. Engines were then upgraded in 1959 to an output of 33 kW. Along the many generations, model names were also changed. But the many changes were in true Japanese form as it constantly improved upon to meet customer demands.
