Latest Information on Suzuki Ignis
The Ignis replaced the Suzuki Cultus in 2000. It was produced as a subcompact car until 2008. The second generation model was reintroduced in 2016 as a small crossover. Its name “Ignis” stands for “fire” in Latin. Due to a joint venture between Suzuki and General Motors (GM), the Chevrolet Cruze made use of the of the basis of the Ignis. The production Ignis first debuted at the 2015 Tokyo Motor Show and was introduced into the Japanese market before any others. It has good safety ratings and scored 4-stars on Euro NCAP crash testing. Suzuki also offers the car with automatic and manual transmission.
