Iron butt for a worthy cause

Meet Jason Killian, an intrepid adventurer who has dedicated his free time to doing some of the most insane adventure trips that you can think of. This madman on two wheels has accomplished more on a bike in a few short years than most will get to in a lifetime.

For the past decade, I have dedicated my efforts to supporting Cancervive, primarily serving as their Road Captain for the annual ride. At Cancervive, our ethos revolves around caring, creating awareness, and celebrating life. Throughout this journey, I've had the privilege of encountering many remarkable individuals, yet also mourned the loss of numerous souls to this indiscriminate disease. Cancer spares no one; its impact reverberates across all demographics. However, we firmly believe that early detection can significantly enhance survival rates.

In 2022, I undertook a journey, traversing from the northernmost to the southernmost points of South Africa, covering 2100km in just 20 hours on a motorcycle. Unfortunately, on my return home from this feat, I encountered a harrowing accident.

Of course in 2023, the previous record had to be improved, and the four corners of South Africa were conquered, journeying from east to west, west to south, and south to north, covering a total distance of 5000km in 50 hours over three consecutive days.

Riding to raise awareness about cancer: Cancervive

Now that this journey has come to an end, Jason is about to attempt an even crazier time trial, seven countries in two days...

As 2024 dawns, a new challenge beckons. My aim is to navigate to the six neighboring countries of South Africa within a span of two days, covering a total distance of 3600km across seven countries. Through this endeavor, I seek to raise awareness for the early detection of cancer and rally support for Cancervive by encouraging donations to this noble cause. Together, let us amplify our efforts in combatting cancer and promoting the importance of early detection.

Jason will be leaving from the Caledon border post on Lesotho's doorstep and will make his way west to Namibia via Upington and then north to Lephalale, on to Botswana and Zimbabwe and will then circle back via Mozambique and will finish up in Swaziland, all in the short space of 48 hours. You will be able to follow Jason's progress via a Live link that he will post on his social media accounts.

If you want to support Jason on his quest to raise funds for Cancervive, you can donate directly here and follow along as he sets another crazy record. Let's help him achieve this goal and get the awareness out there.
