Iconic MF engine
The latest MF 200 Xtra features a motor that offers low rated engine speed for durability, economy and operator comfort. A good power to weight ratio offers greater productivity. Designers also added easy access to key components which encourages regular servicing and maintenance so as to avoid breakdowns. Thanks to a large dealer network, parts are readily available which encourages regular parts replacement and servicing to prolong engine life.
Owners can expect power outputs of between 35kW to 58kW, from either a 3 or 4 cylinder Simpson engine.
Taking it up a gear
The MF 200 Xtra features a straightforward fully mechanical drive line with a heavy duty clutch for reliability and longevity. The clutch has been designed to be simple and reliable. The transmission also allows for a high maximum speed which will reduce transport time. Furthermore, the transmission is easy to operate due to its simple layout. Expect 8F x 2R from a sliding mesh centre transmission. Four gears fall within the typical field working range.
Hydraulics
The MF 200 Xtra now also features an improved oil immersed yoke pump for the rear linkage. An auxiliary spool valve on the MF 275 Xtra and 290 Xtra increase the number of implements the machine can be used with for enhanced versatility. The rear PTO offers 540 rpm with 35mm, 6 spline output shaft and live clutch.
Rear linkage
The MF 200 Xtra offers fully adjustable link rods with float position which allows some travel on the implement during operation. A heavy duty swinging drawbar to cope with all conditions has also been added.
