What’s new?

The 1 Series is equipped with groundbreaking Bale Doc technology, offering real-time documentation of bale moisture and weight. This valuable data seamlessly integrates into the John Deere Operations Center for post-harvest analysis. Farmers can leverage this analysis to make well-informed decisions regarding nutrient management, optimize bale pricing, and minimize fertilizer expenditures.

"Irrespective of farm size, our 1 Series Round Baler assures uniform, high-quality round bales," stated Chase Milem, John Deere's marketing manager. "Operators gain immediate visibility into bale moisture levels directly from the cab, enabling strategic choices like halting baling for the day or applying a preservative like John Deere GREEN-GARD."

Efficient design

Enhancing efficiency and reducing operator fatigue, the John Deere 1 Series Round Balers incorporate automated gate cycle functions. The Baler Automation system handles gate opening and closing, eliminating repetitive tasks, reducing errors, and maximizing baling throughput. Chase Milem affirmed that upgrading to the 1 Series holds appeal for farmers of any tractor vintage due to Baler Automation compatibility.

Cabin integration

A modern 8-inch G5e display, now standard, furnishes operators with an intuitive, consistent experience, granting full visibility and control over baling operations. Additionally, the 1 Series introduces the optional High-Capacity Pickup, enabling farmers to expedite baling compared to previous models. Internal assessments demonstrate a remarkable 33% increase in crop pickup and feed capacity with the high-capacity pickup compared to its predecessors.

Long-lasting design

"Reliability, serviceability, and productivity were key considerations for customers when selecting a new round baler," highlighted Milem. "We've taken the most favoured attributes from our previous round balers and incorporated new features to elevate baling capacity. This includes advanced technology that empowers farmers to make agronomic decisions grounded in real-time data."

A baler for every need

The comprehensive John Deere 1 Series Round Baler lineup comprises models 451E, 451M, 451R, 461M, 461R, 551M, 561M, and 561R. The "E" designation indicates a regular pickup, "M" signifies the MegaWide™ Plus pickup, and "R" denotes a High-Capacity or High-Capacity and Precutting feeding system.

Expand with options

Options like Net-Lift Assist, Net Lighting, and the Preservative System are available for the 1 Series. Net-Lift Assist reduces lifting effort by 90%, streamlining netwrap positioning. Net Lighting enhances visibility of netwrap and wrapping components in low-light scenarios. The Preservative System ensures precise application of preservative to each bale through a tank, sensors, controller, and distribution mechanism.
