BMW has given us the most powerful M5 ever in the form of the latest G90 M5. With 535kW (717 hp) and 1 000Nm (737 lb.ft), and M xDrive all-wheel-drive, the new G90 M5 can blast from a standstill to 100 km/h in only 3.5 seconds.

This is thanks to its 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 and, for the first time ever, high-voltage electrical assistance. That's right, the new M5 is a plug-in hybrid. The addition of electrical assistance helps boost the total power output and reduces emissions and fuel consumption, allowing for up to 90 km of full EV driving from a single charge.
