The Vitara nameplate has a cult following not only in Suzuki circles but even in the offroad community. The previous generation Grand Vitara lingered on for some time, but for good reason. The previous generation Grand Vitara had the recipe for an au fait offroad SUV. A unibody construction with a custom ladder frame, multilink suspension, maximised ground clearance at 200mm and a reduced floor and roof height. The recipe doesn't stop there; you had an assortment of powertrains available like a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine or a 3.2-litre V6 petrol engine and either a 5-speed manual, 4-speed auto or 5-speed auto (3.2 V6 only). Verdict
The majority of previous generation Suzuki Grand Vitara trims have retained little of their value, with the only exception from our observations being the 2017 2.4 Summit Auto, which had the least mileage and retained 72% of its value. It's worth noting that with the other models, one factor contributing to that lower value is the mileage of the vehicles. As we can see, the average used mileage for the other trims is quite high relative to the model year, so naturally, that would reduce the value of the vehicles. As we've said at the beginning of this article, these vehicles are robust and dependable, so expect them to be well used, hence why the average mileage tends to be high.
