There’s a lot to boast about in the new Peugeot 3008, with plenty of standard equipment, very stylish looks, and a capable turbo engine under the bonnet. It also has a very comprehensive aftersales package to allay historic local fears about French car ownership. Part of the package is a service plan for 5 years or 100 000 km, giving pre-paid servicing for the first owner.

The warranty
The OEM warranty mirrors the period and mileage of the Peugeot 3008’s standard service plan, giving comprehensive factory cover for defects in manufacturing, materials and workmanship for 5 years or 100 000 km.
The warranty begins at date of first registration, and covers the cost of repair or replacement of defective Peugeot original parts and accessories, as well as consequential damage to the car resulting from such a defect.
Warranty will only be honoured if all services kept up to date, and performed at authorised Peugeot dealerships, and it is up to Peugeot SA’s discretion to decide (after evaluation) whether to replace or repair any faulty parts.
The bodywork is covered by its own warranty, with the paint warrantied for 3 years, and the body shell itself covered against perforation (rusting from the inside) for 12 years.
Warranty exclusions
Wear items, such as brakes, tyres, wipers and other friction materials.
Fluid refills, such as engine oil top-ups between services, screenwasher fluid etc.
Damage due to natural phenomena such as floods or fire.
Damage due to driver abuse or negligence. (This includes missed or delayed scheduled services, as well as cracked/bent wheels due to road impact.)
