With its front engine rear-wheel drive platform, spirited VQ engine and an unmistakable engine note, the Nissan 370Z is a purist sports coupe'. It is an incredibly well-balanced vehicle that although on the heavier side, will still deliver an unbridled driving experience. In short the 370Z is a sports car for those that seek something different in a roadster.

It could also be said that the comprehensive warranty plays a major part in that, and we wanted to take a look at what the warranty offers and what you may be on the hook for should things go awry

The Warranty

The Nissan 370Z carries a 6 year / 150 000 manufacturer warranty and covers the following:

Protects your vehicle against the failure of most mechanical and electrical components due to manufacturing defects.
Paintwork on your Nissan is covered against material and manufacturing defects for the warranty period.
The internal body sections and panels of your Nissan are covered against corrosion.
Warranty begins at date of first registration.
A 3 year / 90 000km service plan is included

The warranty does NOT cover the following:

Misuse, accident, theft or fire
Use of improper or dirty fuel, fluids or lubricants.
Lack of performance of proper maintenance service
Use of non-genuine Nissan parts.
Alteration, tampering or improper repair.
Glass breakage, unless resulting from defects in material or workmanship.
Normal wear or tear, including dings, dents, chips or scratches.
Stone chipping, chemical fallout (acid rain), tree sap, salt, hail, wind/sandstorm, lighting, flood or other environmental conditions
Repairs not performed by an authorised Nissan dealer.
Engine tune-up
Cleaning and polishing
Wheel balancing and alignment
Headlight aiming
Replacement of filters
Windshield wiper inserts
Key fob batteries
Light bulbs
Spark plugs
Distributor points
Drive belts
Lubricants and cooling
Worn brake shoes, pads, drums and rotors
Worn clutch discs.
