How to top up screen wash on a MINI Hatch

It may come in many different variants but there really is only one MINI. We take a look at how to quickly fill the windscreen wash reservoir on the ever-popular Mini hatch.

 

Clean up your act

Keeping your windshield as clean as possible is the best thing you can do on a daily basis to ensure that your MINI is as safe as it can be. You can do this by using the window cleaning facility at your local petrol station or you can use the cars onboard cleaning system. You will need to refill this system on a regular basis and it is as easy as can be but in case you may not know how to do this, we have an easy step by step guide right here.

You will need:

• Clean water
• Over the counter washer soap (available at auto parts stores)

Let's get started!

1. Open the bonnet.
2. Locate the washer fluid bottle, usually marked with a blue cap. It should be next to the passenger side headlight module.
3. Open the cap and fill with clean water up to the full mark.
4. Add a few tablespoons of washer soap, or as indicated on the washer fluid packaging.
5. Close cap and bonnet.
6. Test system to ensure it works sufficiently.
