Replacing headlight bulbs is a quick and easy job that you can do right at home.

The entry-level Opel Grandland X is fitted with standard Halogen style headlights and the bulbs can be bought at any auto parts store and can be fitted in a few minutes with little to no effort. We will give you a step by step guide to getting the job done.

We've covered similar tasks such as this one featuring the Hyundai Tucson.

So let's get those bulbs replaced!

  • Locate the back of the headlight cluster in the engine bay.
  • Find the small black covers that protect the back of the bulbs.
  • Remove the covers by pulling on the small tabs.
  • Pull the connector plug down and away from the bulb.
  • Remove the bulb from the housing.
  • Insert the new bulb into the housing ensuring that you do not touch the glass of the bulb, as this leaves an oily residue that burns onto the glass.
  • Replace the connector plug ensuring it clicks into place.
  • Replace the bulb cover and you're done.

This is quick and easy DIY maintenance that anyone can do right at home.
