Replacing a Peugeot 2008 car battery

Peugeot really upped their mid-size crossover SUV game when they released the futuristic-looking 2008. This is an SUV that is packed with tech and features that will appeal to the citiest of slickers.

To keep all that tech and convenience operating properly the Peugeot 2008 needs a solid and constant supply of 12v power and if any of the tech starts to malfunction it may be due to a power drain, and it may be time for a new battery. Replacing the battery is relatively easy and can be done with minimal tools in about 15 minutes, and we can show you how it's done.

You will need:

  • 10mm wrench or socket and driver
  • Flat head screwdriver

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet

 

2. Locate the battery

 

3. Use the 10mm to remove the negative battery terminal

 

4. Undo the retainer clip on the positive terminal

 

5. Use the flathead screwdriver the pry the retainer clip from the base of the battery and tray

 

6. Exchange battery

 

7. Assemble in reverse order

 

Pro Tip: If you want to retain settings etc. on the infotainment, Use a battery saver to keep the 12v system energised.
