Power Up
Top down motoring can be a very freeing experience, especially when you have power as well as luxury underfoot. Many of the SL models that are currently on our roads are aging and will soon require new car batteries to keep all thse electronics working in their best condition.

Changing the car battery is a simple enough task that we can show you how to do right at home.
You will need:
- Replacement battery of correct size and amperage
- 10mm socket and driver
- 13mm socket
Let's get it done
1. Open the boot
2. Remove the floor carpet and sub floor as well as foam insert
3. Using 10mm socket, remove the negative battery terminal
4. Use 10mm to remove positive terminal
5. Use 13mm to remove hold down bracket
6. Exchange battery
7. Reassemble in reverse order
