Shed some light
The SL range has had a storied history within the three pointed star's line up. By 2019 they had released their best model yet with the Mercedes-AMG SL63, a throaty, fire breathing, monster of a sleek stylish roadster. Many of these will still be under warranty and any faults should be addressed by the manufacturer workshop but in a few years time you may find the need to replace headlight bulbs and may wish to undertake the repair yourself.

Be warned though, the process may be relatively straightforward and require no tools but the space you have to work in makes it particularly troublesome.
You will need:
- Replacement HID bulbs of the correct amperage and wattage
Let's get it done
1. Open the bonnet
2. Locate the area behind the headlight and remove the cover
3. Remove the connector plug (This is a HID (High Intensity Discharge) circuit, Beware of electric shock!)
4. Remove the locating ring
5. Twist the globe anti-clockwise to remove
6. Install new globe
7. Reassemble in reverse order and repeat on opposite side.
