How to replace the car battery on a Haval H6

We show you how to replace the car battery in a Haval H6

Car Ownership

New power

Haval has recently released the 3rd generation H6, and it is a huge leap forward for the Chinese brand. We unfortunately did not get the second gen version though so all the h6 models on our roads are the first generation models. Many of these vehicles will soon need to have the batteries replaced as car batteries have a life span of 2-3 years

If you have an H6 that needs a new battery we can show you how to change yours right at home with just a few tools and some free time.

You will need:

  • Replacement battery of correct amperage and size
  • 10mm socket + driver or wrench

Let's get it done

1. Open the bonnet

2. Locate the battery

3. Use the 10mm to remove the negative (-) terminal

4. Use the 10mm to remove the positive (+) terminal

5. Use the 10mm to remove the hold down bracket

6. Exchange battery (Disconnecting the battery without a memory saver will erase all settings in the onboard computer)

7. Assemble in reverse order
