Like on all cars, the headlight bulbs in your Haval H2 has a limited life and will require replacement at some point.

Below we go through the effective way to replace the lightbulb on your Haval H2. Before we jump, we do need to advise that you contact your nearest Haval dealership to find out which replacement bulbs to purchase. Furthermore, buying replacement bulbs directly from the dealership will ensure you have the correct specification. The newer model of the Haval H2 might need the dealership to perform maintenance.

What do you need?

A new lightbulb.

Phillips head screwdriver

Method

Step 1:

Open the bonnet and inspect the plastic covering above the headlamp and find the screws keeping it in place.

Step 2:

Undo all the screws and remove the plastic cover to reveal the headlamp unit. When standing in front of the vehicle, on the driver side, the outer left lamp is the headlamp bulb.

Step 3:

Unscrew the cover behind the lightbulb protecting it from the elements. Once exposed, locate the metal holding pin and unclick. Once the pin is out of the way you can proceed to remove the bulb from the headlamp cluster. Note that the wiring will still remain in place.

Step 4:

You can disconnect the electric wiring from the old lamp and carefully connect them to the replacement bulb.

Step 5:

Correctly align the locating pins on the new light bulb and carefully insert it into position.

Step 6:

Secure the holding pin behind the new lightbulb and screw the covering back on.

Step 7:

Reinstall the plastic covering above the headlamp cluster. Ensure that the screws are secure but do not overtighten.

Step 8:

Repeat the process on the passenger side of the vehicle but do note that the headlamp bulb will be located on the right.

Step 9:

Close the bonnet and test your new headlamps.
