The power of RS
There is no denying that Audi's RS badged vehicles are lookers as well as performers. No matter the generation, any Audi wearing those famous red and black letters commands attention wherever it goes. Due to the highly technical nature of the RS models, they consume as much electrical energy as the engine power they produce and you may find yourself in need of a battery replacement after a few years of operation.
This isn't a problem as replacing the battery on an RS4 is a relatively simple task that you can tackle in a matter of minutes and we can show you how.

You will need:
- New battery for your model
- 10mm Spanner
Lets get started!
- Open the boot.
- Lift the boot floor up by the handle and clip it to the underside of the deck lid with the built in clip.
- Lift out the spare wheel cover.
- Remove the spare wheel retaining nut and remove the spare. (If equipped)
- Locate the battery.
- Using the 10mm spanner loosen off the nuts off the hold down bracket and remove it.
- Use the 10mm spanner to remove the negative terminal.
- Use the 10mm spanner again to remove the positive terminal.
- Remove the battery.
- Install new battery and replace all the terminals and brackets in reverse order.
