Volvos are well known for being the safest cars in the world, all that safety cant help you if you get a flat wheel. Never fear though as we have a helpful guide to show how to change out the flat on your Volvo V40 and self-rescue.

Let's get it done!

  1. Make sure the vehicle is on a flat level surface and that the hand brake is engaged
  2. Retrieve the car jack and wheel spanner fro the boot
  3. Fit the jack near the approved lifting point on the undercarriage and take the weight off of the flat wheel
  4. Use the wheel spanner to remove the wheel bolts
  5. Place the spare onto the wheel hub and tighten the wheel bolts
  6. Lower the car down and give the wheel bolts a once over to ensure that they are sufficiently tight
  7. Place the flat wheel in the boot along with the tools and be on your way

Make sure to get the flat repaired as soon as possible and put the spare back.
