There is nothing more frustrating than getting a flat wheel, we show you how to replace the spare on your Volkswagen Arteon
Flat wheel woes
With many new luxury vehicles being fitted with space saver spare wheels or simply a puncture repair kit, it is comforting to know that the Volkswagen Arteon comes with a full-sized alloy spare wheel.
This means that should you get a puncture you can quickly and easily change out the flat wheel and continue with your journey. We will show you how to do this in a few easy steps.
Let's get it done!
- Make sure the vehicle is on a flat level surface and that the hand brake is engaged
- Retrieve the car jack and wheel spanner fro the boot
- Fit the jack near the approved lifting point on the undercarriage and take the weight off of the flat wheel
- Us the wheel spanner to remove the wheel bolts
- Place the spare onto the wheel hub and tighten the wheel bolts
- Lower the car down and give the wheel bolts a once over to ensure that they are sufficiently tight
- Place the flat wheel in the boot along with the tools and be on your way
Make sure to get the flat repaired as soon as possible and put the spare back. You can watch our video on why wheels go flat, here, if you want to know more.
