How to replace a lightbulb on a Toyota Land Cruiser 76

We show you how to replace the headlight bulbs on a Land Cruiser 70 series

The Land Cruiser 70 series has been around since the mid 2000s and has only received one upgrade since then in 2013. The simplistic nature of this off-road monster means that it is as tough as nails and can tackle the worst terrain you can throw at it. One thing that it can't conquer is maintenance and simple DIY tasks will ensure that your 76 runs forever.

A simple task such as replacing a headlight bulb may seem daunting but is actually quite easy, and we can show you how it's done.

 

You will need:

  • Replacement H9 bulbs

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet

 

2. Locate back of headlight

 

2. Remove the wiring plug

 

3. Remove the rubber dust cover

 

4. Remove the retaining clip

 

5. Replace the bulb

 

6. Reassemble in reverse order
