How to replace a lightbulb on a Honda Ballade

The Honda Ballade has been around in South Africa since before many millennials were born. It is a solid, middle of the road sedan that has serviced many a family for just as many years. Older models will have had standard halogen style bulbs fitted and these didn't last forever and would need to be replaced every few years. If you happen to have one of these older models and find yourself with a one-eyed Honda, we can help.

 Follow our step by step instructional and get those headlight bulbs replaced in minutes with no tools required!

 

 

You will need:

 

  •     Replacement bulbs of the correct wattage and amperage.

 

 

Let's do this!

 

   1. Open the bonnet

 

   2. Locate the area behind the headlights

 

   3. Remove the wiring plug and rubber boot surround.

 

   4.This will expose the rear of the bulb housing.

 

   6. Remove the bulb by turning a quarter turn and carefully sliding the bulb out of the housing.

 

   7. Install new bulb, wiring harness and rubber boot in reverse order.

 

    8. Repeat on opposite side and test to ensure everything is in working order.
