How to replace a lightbulb on a Fiat Fullback

We show you how to replace the headlight bulbs on a Fiat Fullback bakkie

The Fiat Fullback and its cousins the Mitsubishi Triton and Mazda BT50 all make use of Xenon H9 type headlight bulbs. These bulbs do have a lifespan and will need to be replaced once they begin to lose their lustre.

No need to worry though as this is a relatively easy task to do yourself, and we can show you how its done.

 

You will need:

  • Replacement bulbs of the correct type and amperage
  • Soft cloth

 

 

Let's get it done

 

1. Open the bonnet

 

2. Locate the back of the headlight assembly

 

3. Remove the wiring plug

 

4. Remove the rubber cover to expose the bulb retainer

 

5. Unclip the retainer and exchange the bulb being careful not to contaminate the glass surface

 

6.Reassemble in reverse order and test.
