Lighting the Omoda

Riding high on the success of its Tiggo lineup, Chery South Africa launched a standalone brand called Omoda. This fashionable and feature-packed family crossover has a laundry list of fitment that elevates it above its segment competitors.

This new Omoda model is technologically advanced and receives many premium items as standard, such as LED lighting front and rear. LED lighting has a much longer lifespan than the Halogen bulbs of the past but occasionally will need to be replaced.

Unfortunately, with the Omoda C5 being very new and the lifespan of LED bulbs being considerably longer than standard halogen-style bulbs, there is no information on the procedure to change out these emitters. One look at the engine bay indicates that Chery/Omoda doesn't want DIY'ers fiddling under the many plastic engine bay covers.

We therefore highly advise leaving this procedure to the Chery/Omoda dealer to fix should you ever need this done.
