How to change wiper blades on an Audi Q5

The windshield wipers on your car should actually be changed out every season to ensure that your vision ahead is always as clear as can be. We show you how to change out the ones on your Audi Q5 in a matter of minutes.

The Q5 may not be as popular as its cousin, the Tiguan but there are still many out there that are getting on in years. The windshield wipers on these cars are only designed to have a life of 1-2 years at a maximum and should actually be changed out every rainy season to ensure that your vision ahead is always as clear as can be.

It is a very straightforward task and be completed in a few minutes with no tools required.

You will need:

• New wiper blades (correct size for year and model)
• Soft cloth

Let's get started!

• Make sure that you have the proper replacement wiper blades for your year and model.
• Lift the wiper arm up.
• Push or pull the retaining clip upwards to release the old blade.
• Remove the old blade ( Don't let the wiper arm go or it will smash into your windscreen! )
• Insert the new blade and push/pull the retainer clip back into place.
• Wipe the windscreen so as not to contaminate the new blades with dirt
• Put the wiper arm back down.
• Test system (Don't do this dry! Use the washer system)
