It is highly advisable to replace the wiper blades on your vehicle once a year before the rainy season starts. UV radiation as well as dirt and dust debris degrade the leading edge of the rubber blade decreasing its efficacy in keeping the window glass clean and clear. It is not overly difficult and can be done in a matter of minutes with no tools required.
