How to change the windshield wipers on a Mini Countryman

If you live in an ever-changing weather environment, you should be changing your vehicles windshield wipers every year. Its a quick and easy process that can be done in a few minutes

Clear vision

Your cars windshield wipers should be replaced every year, especially if you live in a dry dusty environment that becomes to wet and damp during seasonal changes. While most auto manufacturers standardise the fitment of the windshield wiper system, some car makers tend to have their own systems such as Mercedes-Benz and Mini

You will need:

• New wipers for vehicle model
• Soft cloth

Let's get started!

1. Lift the wiper blade arm up.
2. Rotate the wiper blade 90 degrees until you hear a click. This is the blade unclipping from the holder.
3. Remove the plastic holder from the u-bend in the wiper arm.
4. Slide the new blade holder into the wiper arm.
5. Place the new wiper blade against the holder and apply gentle pressure until it clips back into place.
6. Repeat on opposite side
7. Use the soft cloth to clean any dirt and dust from the windshield before placing the new wipers down, as this can lead to scratches on the glass

Pro tip: Place a piece of cardboard or a rubber floormat under the wiper arm against the windscreen, in case the wiper arm slams down on the windscreen.
