Must have gear

Although the standard Hyundai I30 has been discontinued in South Africa for the time being, you can still lay your hands on the fantastic i30N. Which ever vehicle you may have, the name of the game here is protection!. Hyundai offers a small range of approved accessories that will help you maintain the value of your car and also make life just that little bit easier.

We've pulled together the best of they have to offer, so check out the gear below

1. Bonnet Protector

Stone chips are a reality that can seriously degrade not only your paintwork but the value of your car. Fitting a bonnet protector will help avoid damage caused by stone chipping and any other day-to-day detritus that may get thrown up from the road surface.

2. Cargo Liner

If you have an active lifestyle that requires you to load gear in and out of your car on a regular basis we advise getting a rubber cargo mat to protect the carpet from premature wear.

3. Window Shades

If a very dark tint is not on the cards for your ride, you can get a set of these privacy binds that block not only UV rays but also prying eyes from whatever may be on your backseat.

4. Drinks Cooler

This particular bit of kit is quite useful on those long road trips on hot days. Designed to be attached by seatbelt in the middle seating location of the rear seat and can be powered from the 12v outlet at the rear.

5. Rear bumper protector

Load equipment in and out of your car is a chore and the small scratches and nick that occur on the top of your rear bumper will devalue your ride. Avoid this by fitting a fold out bumper protector that will help protect the rear end while loading gear.

6. Dashboard mat

If your car lives outdoors, the sun will have a very negative effect on your interior. The harmful UV radiation will not only discolor, but also dry out and crack your dashboard. You won't have to get a furry pelt to cover your dash as Hyundai has a perfectly fitted dash mat to help protect your dashboard.
