5 Maserati Quattroporte accessories you didn’t know you needed
The Maserati Quattroporte is the Italian automaker's flagship sedan and like with most vehicles in this premium segment, customers can specify accessories to bolster their ownership experience. We take a look at the top 5 accessories offered by Maserati for the Quattroporte.
The current generation Quattroporte was first revealed during 2012 and marked an important step for the Italian marque. The outgoing model which first came to market in 2004 saw a variety of styling updates, performance upgrades and even limited-edition models reach showroom floors right up to 2011 with the Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S MC Sport Line variant.

The new model recently saw a Trofeo variant added with an upgraded infotainment system, unique exterior updates and increased performance from a twin-turbo, 3.8-litre V8, similar to the one found under the bonnet of a Ferrari 488. This new powertrain delivers 433 kW and 730 N.m of torque via the ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox.
1. Rim and wheel options
Maserati likes to believe that just like their vehicles, each owner is unique and enjoys different aspects of the Quattroporte, whether it is the comfort, sporty performance or classic good looks. As such they have created a variety of wheel designs in varying sizes from 19-inch to 21-inch. While some designs might be able to be finished in different colour options others only feature the exposed lightweight alloy.
Customers can also opt if they only want the optional rims or if they want a complete wheel with Maserati Genuine Tyres fitted already. Furthermore, the wheels can be garnished with branded valve covers, custom centre caps and effectively secured by a Maserati Security Stud Bolt.
2. Brake callipers
The only thing that can draw more attention than the wheels itself, is the callipers behind them. Although calliper colours are specified during the vehicle purchasing process, owners of pre-owned models can fit new callipers to their taste. Not only do owners have access to Red, Black, Blue and Silver options but also Red anodized and polished Silver variants. Depending on the calliper colour, the Maserati name is finished in either Black, Red or White to contrast perfectly.
3. Exterior Carbon package
Since its use in the construction of racing vehicles, premium vehicle manufacturers have been using exposed carbon-fibre, not only in the construction of their roadgoing models but also for trim components fitted on its more premium offerings. Although carbon-fibre offer many benefits being incredibly strong and light, it is also sought after by most customers wanting to add that performance look to their vehicle.
Maserati offers Quattroporte customers an exterior carbon package which will see to it that the mirror caps, door handles, rear spoiler, front splitter, b-pillar, wheel caps, and front and rear doorsills comes finished in the lightweight material.
4. Sporty driver equipment
For a vehicle to fully win over spirited drivers, there are a few items that need to be fitted to carry through the performance theme. These items include sport pedals and sport gearshift paddles. While most might think this only adds to the interior look and feel, the frosted aluminium gearshift paddles and sport pedals with engineered rubber inserts, provide a driver with additional grip while operating the components. You don't want your brake pedal slipping from underneath your shoe whilst braking for the next corner.
5. Universal tablet holder
While the driver might have fun upfront, rear passengers can also sit back and be entertained. Provided that the Quattroporte is not fitted with the optional Sport Seats, customers can purchase a Maserati Universal tablet holder. The holder fits the headrest of the front seat and is capable of accommodating anything from a large tablet to a large smartphone. This allows the passenger to watch movies or access other content comfortably. The holder is Maserati branded and even with the smart device removed, looks like a part fitted as standard on the Quattroporte.
Pricing
To get accurate pricing on each of the accessories listed here, it is best to contact your closest Maserati dealership. While some dealerships might keep stock of some items, others will only import accessories per request which means that the final price heavily relies on the exchange rate.
