Ford Ranger (T6.2) Extras

We headed over to the Ford South Africa website and perused through their list of accessories for the Ford Ranger. We opted to go this route as these accessories are approved by Ford and, with the correct installation, will not affect the Ranger's warranty. The items carry their warranty as well, giving you peace of mind about their quality and effectiveness.

Canopy - Double Cab - Executive

A common accessory for bakkies and double cabs, a canopy offers the best of both worlds: a closed cabin safeguards your load from the elements while retaining the additional load capabilities that you originally purchased the double cab for.

This unit is designed to complement the Ranger. It has bonded side windows, curved door glass, an integrated rear spoiler, and roof bars for additional loading options. These bars can support an additional 50 kg. In addition, it has air vents, gas lift shocks, and a battery-operated interior LED light.

Air Compressor - On Board Kit (With Bed Liner)

Any off-road adventurer with their salt knows that tyre pressures are vital. Whether you're on the road, off-road, or traversing obstacles, the right tyre pressure will help ensure that you don't get stuck and can travel safely. Deflating your tyres to the desired pressure is easy, but re-inflating them is challenging. Solve that problem with an on-board air compressor, available for Rangers with and without bed liners.

This twin-motor compressor is constructed of lightweight materials but will provide excellent airflow. Tucked away, out of sight, with a convenient access panel, it won't eat up your load area but will always be on hand to help you out.

Auxiliary Battery Kit - Tub Mounted with 40A Charger

Power up those fridges and electrical accessories with an auxiliary battery. Whether it's a camping fridge or water heater, an auxiliary battery will come in handy for those adventures into the far-reaching corners of the country.

This battery kit includes the battery enclosure, REDARC 12V 40A DC-to-DC charge module, wiring, and hardware, but it doesn't include the battery, so keep that in mind. Its considered design ensures that the battery is secure and as inobtrusive as possible so you don't lose too much load bin space.

Drawer System - Double Cab with Bed Liner

For the serious camper, overlander, or fisherman, the heavy-duty, twin-drawer system is a boon for those who carry the same items on all adventures. The easy-to-clean uppers are lined with marine carpet and an ABS substrate, so moisture is the least of your concerns—you know it will handle it all.

The hammer finish is aesthetically pleasing, and the aluminium edge trimming ensures the system is hard-wearing and durable. The drawers feature paddle slam latches and locking mechanisms for added security, and side wing covers with flush-mount cargo tie-downs are included.

Long Range Fuel Tank - Diesel

Don't let the vast, barren wilderness scare you off from exploring. A long-range tank will help you travel further between refills, helping you reach places that you never imagined visiting and where few have ventured before.

This 140-litre extended fuel tank for diesel Rangers will also benefit those who carry heavier loads or tow larger boats or caravans, where fuel consumption is compromised.
